Real food

Your connection

to local, single-source organic dairy.

At Rogers Farmstead, we don’t just make dairy products; we build connections.  Connections to food in its simplest form—organically made, with the cream on top.

We’re one of the few organic Jersey herds in the country, where you can know the cows by name. And, we hold ties to over 150 years of history as a farmstead, where hay fields are more abundant than houses.

Most importantly, we build connections to each other; creating community and food security across Vermont.

Welcome to Rogers Farmstead,

where our love for the land and animals is infused into every product.

We deliver pure, wholesome goodness straight from our farmstead to your table.

Preserving a way of life

The farmstead is managed by husband-and-wife team Nate and Jessie Rogers, who started the farm to give back to their community while finding more freedom to raise their kids.

Their journey began with a chance meeting—Jessie, a chemical engineer from Cape Cod, and Nate, from a dairy farm in northern New York, met while working at IBM in Vermont.

Drawn to the tranquility of rural life, they eventually found themselves living next door to a dairy farm in Fletcher, Vermont where Nate rekindled his love for farming.

In 2012, they embarked on a new chapter, purchasing a 133-acre farm in West Berlin, Vermont, conserved by the Vermont Land Trust.

Small scale for a big impact

Nate and Jessie knew grazing cows was one of the healthiest ways to manage the land—at a small scale using organic practices.

They started with cream-top whole milk. Then, in 2016, they began leasing space to make organic whole-milk yogurt, eventually building their own on-farm creamery in 2017. Today, they continue to make dairy products while stewarding farmland in Central Vermont.

At Rogers Farmstead, it’s all about farming with future generations in mind. So this special place can be a source of local food for the community for the next 150 years and beyond.

Community partners

The farm is also home to Community Harvest of Central Vermont, a non-profit volunteer organization that provides gleaned food products from local farms to community members in need.

We also partner with the Vermont Food Bank to make our products available to their network of partners, who serve food-insecure individuals and families throughout Vermont.
